Contemporary Black Rattan and Wood Display Cabinet

This contemporary 3ds Max display cabinet features a black timber frame, rattan-panelled base doors, and a decorative red interior. Standing as a substantial storage solution, this display cabinet combines a rigid black-finished timber frame with six lower base cupboards featuring woven rattan door fronts. The upper section comprises a grid of open shelving, with each compartment finished in a contrasting deep red interior backing. The design balances geometric structure with organic texture, offering a mix of concealed storage and open display space. Included in the model are various decorative accessories, such as books, ceramics, and small sculptures, which are distributed across the shelves to create a curated, lived-in aesthetic suitable for high-end interior visualisations.

The download is a 65.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single grouped object. Designers should ensure the pivot point is set at the base for easy placement against walls. Users can manage the decorative props by toggling visibility in the layer manager, allowing for customisation of the shelf contents. Texture maps for the rattan weave and wood grain are standard, requiring straightforward UV mapping adjustments if scaled. Lighting should be positioned to highlight the contrast between the dark frame and the red backing.
