About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max accent chair features a black finished frame with a woven rattan back and an off-white upholstered seat. This wingback-style armchair presents a sophisticated silhouette characterized by a high, curved backrest wrapped in a fine-weave black rattan mesh. The frame is finished in a dark, matte black, providing a sharp contrast to the plush, off-white upholstered seat cushion. The seat features a subtle, light-toned fabric texture, suggesting a linen or tight-weave blend. Elegant, tapered legs support the base, maintaining a refined profile. The integration of the organic rattan texture with the solid timber frame and soft upholstery creates a balanced aesthetic suitable for both formal and casual settings.

The download is a 12.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with clear separation between the frame and the seat upholstery, allowing for efficient material assignment. Users should ensure the rattan mesh is mapped correctly to preserve the intricate weave pattern during rendering. The chair is scaled to standard ergonomic dimensions for easy integration into interior scenes. Applying a subtle bump map to the rattan elements will enhance the realism of the texture under various lighting conditions, while the seat cushion benefits from a soft-shadow light setup.
