About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp side table features a round black marble top set within a minimalist gold-finished metal wire frame structure. This side table presents a refined aesthetic, balancing a heavy, polished black marble tabletop with a lightweight, airy metal base. The circular top is inlaid within a continuous metal ring, which is supported by thin, vertical metal rods forming a cylindrical cage structure. The base is finished in a muted gold, providing a subtle metallic contrast to the veined, dark stone surface. The proportions are compact and elegant, making it suitable for smaller lounge areas or as a bedside companion. Its clean lines and material palette suggest a modern, high-end interior finish.

The download is a 5.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp model into a project, import it as a component to maintain file efficiency. The geometry is grouped, allowing for easy placement within a room scene. Users can apply custom materials to the metal frame if a different finish is required, or adjust the mapping on the marble top to suit specific lighting conditions. Ensure the model is scaled appropriately to the surrounding furniture before finalising the scene composition and applying global lighting settings to capture the metallic reflections.

Ideal for residential living rooms, hotel suites, or boutique retail displays, this piece functions well as an accent table or a small bedside stand. It pairs effectively with velvet armchairs, minimalist sofas, or tufted upholstery in neutral or bold colour schemes. Designers often search for this type of furniture when specifying items for luxury apartment fit-outs or high-end hospitality projects where a sophisticated, compact table is needed to complete a seating arrangement or provide a functional surface for decor and lighting.
