Contemporary Black Leather Curved Modular Sofa

This contemporary black leather curved modular sofa for 3ds Max features a distinctive segmented design with deep, tufted detailing. Defined by its bold, sweeping silhouette, this large modular sofa consists of multiple repeating segments that form a gentle arc. The piece is upholstered in a high-sheen black leather, emphasizing the soft, organic undulations of the tufted backrest and seat cushions. The base remains minimalist, providing a grounded contrast to the complex, heavily gathered upholstery above. Its generous proportions and deep seating area suggest a focus on comfort and high-end lounge aesthetics. The modular construction allows for a fluid, continuous form that anchors large open-plan spaces or high-traffic commercial lobby environments with ease.

The download is a 84.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a singular high-detail object. Users should check the pivot point upon insertion to ensure it aligns with the floor plane for accurate placement. Given the complex geometry of the tufted leather, applying a custom material with appropriate displacement or normal maps will enhance the realism of the surface folds. It is recommended to manage the model on a dedicated layer to maintain scene performance, especially when integrating it into larger interior architectural visualisations or complex room sets.
