About this asset

This contemporary rectangular area rug for SketchUp features a high-contrast black and white pixelated pattern and natural fibre fringe. This area rug features a bold, abstract monochromatic pattern consisting of irregular black and white geometric blocks, creating a distinct visual texture across the surface. The rug is rectangular in form, finished with a natural-toned, fibrous fringe along the two shorter ends, providing a tactile contrast to the woven central field. Its flat-weave appearance suggests a durable construction suitable for high-traffic areas. The scale and clarity of the pattern make it a strong focal point for minimalist or modern interior schemes, offering a clean, graphic aesthetic that anchors furniture groupings effectively.

The download is a 156 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed as a component, allowing for easy scaling to fit specific floor plans without distorting the underlying texture mapping. Users should ensure the rug is placed on a dedicated layer or tag to manage visibility during the design process. If utilizing advanced rendering extensions, apply a displacement map to the surface to capture the subtle depth of the weave, and adjust the material settings to reflect the natural softness of the fabric fibres.

Ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or modern hospitality lounge areas, this rug serves as a graphic foundation for contemporary seating arrangements. It pairs well with solid-coloured upholstery or minimalist timber furniture, providing a necessary layer of visual interest. Professionals searching for floor coverings, accent rugs, or graphic textiles for interior visualizations will find this asset versatile for various project stages, from early concept development to final high-fidelity architectural renders, ensuring a polished and cohesive floor finish.
