About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max reception desk features a curved front panel clad in natural rattan cane webbing and a dark wood frame. Designed for professional environments, this reception desk showcases a refined blend of materials and textures. The primary structure is finished in a dark, near-black wood stain, providing a bold contrast to the light, natural-toned rattan cane webbing integrated into the curved front facade. Vertical timber slats frame the rattan panels, creating a rhythmic, structured appearance. The unit includes a recessed plinth with integrated base lighting, which provides a soft, ambient glow at floor level. A clean, flat desktop surface is provided for administrative tasks, and the model includes a decorative vase with branches as a styling element.

The download is a 33.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation. Users can apply custom materials to the timber frame and rattan textures to match specific interior palettes. The integrated base light is set up as a separate object, allowing for independent control of intensity and colour temperature during the rendering process. The model is scaled for standard commercial reception heights and can be easily snapped to floor planes or aligned with wall partitions using standard transform tools.

This reception desk is suited for modern office lobbies, boutique hotel foyers, or high-end retail showrooms where a welcoming, tactile aesthetic is required. It pairs well with minimalist seating areas and large-scale indoor plants to create a sophisticated first impression.
