About this asset

This contemporary beige velvet armchair for 3ds Max features a distinct curved, low-profile silhouette and plush, rounded upholstery. Defined by its organic, soft-edged geometry, this contemporary armchair offers a deep, rounded seat integrated with low, sweeping arms that wrap around the backrest. The piece is upholstered entirely in a textured beige velvet, which highlights its voluminous, sculptural form. With a low-slung profile and generous padding, the chair prioritises comfort and tactile appeal. The absence of visible legs gives it a monolithic, grounded appearance, making it an ideal choice for minimalist or modern interior schemes that require a soft, inviting focal point without complex structural details or hardware.

The download is an 11 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max asset, ensure the model is scaled appropriately for your scene's units before placement. The velvet material is mapped to the geometry, so verify that your UVW maps are correctly aligned if applying custom textures or colour variations. For optimal render results, use a high-quality environment light or HDRI to capture the soft highlights across the curved velvet surfaces, as this material will react significantly to light intensity and angle during final production.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lounges, or quiet reading corners in modern apartments. Its neutral tone and soft, organic shape allow it to pair seamlessly with minimalist coffee tables, textured wool rugs, or alongside a larger modular sofa arrangement. Professionals searching for accent seating with a contemporary, soft-touch aesthetic will find this piece effective for creating relaxed, comfortable zones in both domestic and professional hospitality projects where a serene atmosphere is required.
