About this asset

This contemporary beige velvet armchair for 3ds Max features a distinct curved silhouette and soft, rounded armrests for modern interiors. Defined by its soft, organic geometry, this armchair showcases a fully upholstered form clad in a plush, neutral-toned velvet fabric. The design prioritizes comfort through its generous, circular seat base and a semi-circular backrest that wraps around to provide integrated support. The armrests are low and rounded, extending seamlessly from the back frame to create a cohesive, sculptural profile. Its minimalist aesthetic avoids visible legs, opting instead for a block-like base that maintains a clean, grounded appearance, making it a tactile and visually inviting piece for any refined lounge setting.

The download is a 12.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The geometry is clean, allowing for easy subdivision if further smoothing is required for close-up shots. Users should apply their preferred material settings to the fabric surface, ensuring the velvet texture benefits from appropriate falloff maps to capture the characteristic sheen. The object is scaled for standard seating heights and can be easily positioned within interior arrangements using standard transformation tools.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading corners in a home office. Its neutral beige palette allows it to integrate easily into various colour schemes, pairing effectively with minimalist coffee tables or textured area rugs. Professionals searching for soft, sculptural seating or pieces that embody a contemporary, relaxed elegance will find this asset useful for mid-to-high-end interior design visualisations, particularly in projects requiring a focus on comfort and organic form.
