About this asset

This contemporary beige fabric armchair for SketchUp features a curved barrel back with a distinct quilted finish and tapered timber legs. The chair features a compact, semi-circular barrel backrest that wraps around to form integrated armrests, providing a cohesive and ergonomic profile. The upholstery is finished in a textured beige fabric, detailed with a subtle grid-patterned stitching across the inner backrest. It is supported by four slender, tapered wooden legs in a light natural finish, which transition into the seat frame with flared connectors. The seat cushion is integrated into the frame, maintaining a clean, low-profile aesthetic suitable for modern interior settings requiring comfortable yet space-efficient seating solutions.

The download is a 1.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised with logical grouping, allowing for easy selection and material application. Users should verify the scale against their project floor plates before placement. The texture mapping is pre-applied to the fabric and wood surfaces, though users can easily swap these materials using the material editor to match specific interior palettes. The model is lightweight, ensuring minimal impact on viewport performance during the design development or visualisation phase of a project.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern office breakout zones. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a reading corner. Designers often search for this type of tub-style seating when looking for compact, stylish furniture that does not overwhelm smaller floor plans. It is a versatile asset for staging contemporary interiors where comfort and visual interest are required, frequently used in both early-stage layout planning and final render presentations.
