About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a distinctive rope-weave back and side detail, paired with plush beige fabric upholstery. Defined by its airy, structural aesthetic, this armchair combines a robust metal frame with intricate rope-weave detailing across the back and side panels. The seat is supported by a sleek, low-profile metal base, providing a stable foundation for the generous cushioning. Upholstered in a neutral beige fabric, the piece includes a large seat cushion and two back cushions for enhanced comfort. The design balances industrial material choices with soft, tactile textiles, creating a piece that feels both grounded and light. Its proportions are wide and inviting, well-suited for relaxed lounge settings.

The download is a 12.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The rope-weave geometry and fabric textures are mapped to allow for easy material adjustments or colour swaps within the material editor. Use the provided object layers to toggle between the frame and cushion components during the interior design process. For high-quality visualisations, apply appropriate subdivision modifiers to the cushions if close-up shots are required for your architectural presentation.

This armchair is an ideal choice for modern living rooms, covered terraces, or boutique hotel lobby areas where comfort and visual interest are paramount. It pairs seamlessly with low-slung coffee tables, neutral rugs, and potted indoor plants to create a cohesive, relaxed atmosphere. Designers often search for this style when specifying furniture for upscale residential projects or contemporary hospitality spaces. Its versatile design allows it to function as a focal point in a quiet reading corner or as part of a larger seating arrangement.
