About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a modular sectional design with a built-in chaise, finished in a textured beige fabric. Characterised by its deep, tufted seat and backrest cushions, this modular sectional sofa offers a low-profile, boxy aesthetic typical of modern living spaces. The upholstery is a soft, textured beige fabric that adds visual depth to the geometric form. It comprises three primary seating modules, including an integrated chaise lounge on the right side. The design is devoid of visible legs, providing a grounded, monolithic appearance. A single matching scatter cushion is included, which can be repositioned across the expansive, square-tufted seating surface to suit various interior layouts.

The download is a 34.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy selection of individual modules if required. Users should check the scale against their scene units upon insertion. The material setup uses standard mapping coordinates, which can be adjusted in the modifier stack to refine the fabric's pattern scale. Ensure the object pivot is set to the floor base for accurate placement on interior floor planes, and consider applying a subtle displacement map to enhance the tufted detail.

This sofa is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or contemporary apartment lounge areas. Its neutral tone and clean, geometric lines make it a versatile choice for designers looking to anchor a space without overwhelming the surrounding decor. It pairs effectively with low-slung coffee tables, minimalist area rugs, and ambient floor lighting.
