About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a distinct crescent-shaped frame upholstered in a textured beige fabric with accent cushions. Defined by its striking crescent silhouette, this sofa offers a fluid, organic form that anchors a contemporary living space. The piece is fully upholstered in a neutral, finely-woven beige fabric that highlights the subtle curves of the backrest and seat. It includes a set of three decorative scatter cushions in varied textures and tones, providing contrast to the light upholstery. The backrest is segmented with vertical seams, adding structural detail to the otherwise soft, rounded profile. Low-profile and deep-seated, the design prioritizes comfort while maintaining a sleek, sculptural presence suitable for modern interiors.

The download is a 5.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, utilize the native material definitions to ensure accurate light interaction with the fabric texture. The model is typically supplied as a single, clean mesh object with grouped components for easy manipulation. Users can apply a standard UV map modifier to adjust the fabric tiling if necessary. For optimal visual results, ensure that the scene lighting includes soft global illumination to accentuate the curved geometry and the depth of the included scatter cushions.

This crescent sofa serves as an ideal focal point for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive lounge areas. Its unique shape works well when positioned in the centre of a room or paired with circular coffee tables to reinforce the organic aesthetic. Designers frequently use this type of seating to break up the rigid lines of traditional rectangular layouts.
