Contemporary Beige Fabric Armchair with Throw and Cushion

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a neutral beige fabric upholstery, a decorative cushion, and a draped blue throw blanket. This contemporary armchair features a clean, boxy silhouette defined by straight armrests and a deep, comfortable seat cushion. The frame is upholstered in a textured, light beige fabric that provides a neutral aesthetic. A matching rectangular back cushion is included, accented by a single central button detail in a contrasting tone. The piece is supported by slender, dark-toned metal legs that provide a subtle lift and modern profile. A draped blue throw blanket hangs over the right armrest, adding a layer of soft texture and a pop of colour to the overall composition.

The download is a 9.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy selection and material editing. Users can apply custom fabric textures to the upholstery mesh while maintaining the existing unwrapped UV coordinates. The throw blanket and cushion are separate objects, allowing for quick repositioning or removal to suit specific scene requirements. For optimal rendering results, ensure the metal leg material is assigned a high-gloss finish, and adjust the fabric's bump map intensity to capture the weave detail under varied lighting conditions.

This armchair serves as a versatile accent piece for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or hotel lobby lounge areas. Its neutral colour palette allows it to integrate seamlessly into modern or minimalist interiors. Designers often specify this style for high-end residential projects where a balance of comfort and structured design is required. It pairs well with floor lamps, side tables, or as part of a larger seating arrangement, providing a focal point that feels both inviting and professional in architectural visualisations.
