About this asset

This contemporary charcoal wood and glass bookcase for 3ds Max features a three-bay open shelving design with integrated top-level storage. This tall, three-bay bookcase combines dark charcoal-toned timber vertical dividers with horizontal glass shelving, creating a balanced, transparent aesthetic. The design includes a solid, enclosed cabinet section running across the entire top, providing concealed storage for less aesthetic items. The open shelves are punctuated by the dark wood supports, which extend to the floor as a stable base. The inclusion of curated books and decorative objects within the unit suggests a versatile piece intended for both functional storage and the display of personal items, maintaining a clean, minimalist silhouette throughout.

The download is a 57.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can import this model directly into 3ds Max, where the object is organized by material and component, allowing for easy adjustment of the glass transparency or wood grain mapping. The geometry is clean, making it straightforward to apply custom studio lighting or integrate into an existing interior scene. Ensure pivot points are aligned to the base for precise placement against walls or within architectural niches, and consider utilizing instances if populating multiple zones in a large-scale project.

Ideal for sophisticated residential living rooms, home libraries, or executive offices, this bookcase serves as a primary feature piece for displaying literature and curated decor. It pairs effectively with contemporary furniture sets, complementing dark wood joinery or contrasting against lighter wall finishes. Professionals searching for modern open shelving, display units, or structured storage solutions will find this asset suitable for high-end interior visualizations, particularly in projects requiring a refined, organized aesthetic that balances visibility with hidden storage capacity.
