Charcoal Fabric Square Ottoman with Decorative Throw

This contemporary charcoal fabric square ottoman for 3ds Max features a button-tufted surface and an integrated decorative throw. This square, low-profile ottoman is upholstered in a dark charcoal fabric with a subtle, tight-weave texture. The seat surface features a button-tufted detail, creating a soft, recessed focal point. The form is clean-lined and geometric, sitting flush with the floor or on low, concealed glides. Included in the composition is a draped, golden-brown fabric throw that cascades over one corner, adding organic movement and contrast to the structured, angular base. A small, graphic-print booklet rests on the surface, completing the casual, lived-in aesthetic of this versatile piece of furniture.

The download is a 40.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with clear layer separation, allowing users to toggle the decorative throw and booklet independently from the base ottoman. The fabric materials are set up for standard rendering pipelines, requiring simple mapping adjustments for scene-specific lighting. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned to the floor plane for easy placement within interior scenes. The geometry is clean, making it straightforward to scale or integrate into larger, populated living room or lounge environments without excessive overhead.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, and high-end lounge areas, this ottoman serves as an excellent accent piece. It works well when paired with modern sectionals or as a standalone footrest in a reading nook. Designers often use this type of asset to add character to a space, styling it with throws and books to create a sense of realism in architectural visualisations.
