About this asset

This 3ds Max set features a contemporary brown wicker egg chair suspended from a black metal frame, paired with a small wooden side table. This set consists of an egg-shaped hanging chair crafted from woven brown wicker, supported by a sturdy black powder-coated steel frame. The chair features an off-white tufted fabric seat cushion for comfort, suspended by a heavy-duty chain and spring mechanism. Accompanying the seating is a minimalist round side table with slender wooden legs and a neutral tabletop, topped with a decorative bowl of fruit. The proportions are balanced for relaxation, offering a distinct focal point through the contrast between the organic, textured wicker weave and the clean, industrial lines of the metal support structure.

The download is a 22.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for efficient manipulation of the frame and the seat components. The wicker texture relies on a detailed map, which should be checked for scale upon insertion into a scene. Use the provided pivot points to adjust the height of the hanging chair relative to the floor plane. Lighting should be set up to catch the depth of the woven wicker to maintain visual realism in the final render.

Ideal for residential terrace, balcony, or sunroom layouts, this set provides a relaxed seating option for contemporary interior design schemes. It functions well in hospitality settings such as hotel lobbies, cafe corners, or lounge areas where a casual, inviting atmosphere is required. Designers often group this piece with floor lamps or indoor planters to create a dedicated reading nook or quiet zone.
