About this asset

This brown leather animal-shaped ottoman is a SketchUp model featuring a stylized hippo form and a weathered leather texture finish. Designed as a playful yet functional piece of furniture, this hippo-shaped ottoman features a robust, rounded silhouette. The exterior is wrapped in a dark brown leather material with visible grain and subtle wear patterns, providing a tactile and grounded aesthetic. Its proportions are compact, intended for low-level seating or foot support. Notable design details include small, pointed ears and minimalist circular eyes, which maintain the clean, contemporary lines of the piece. The overall geometry is soft and organic, lacking sharp edges, making it suitable for both casual living spaces and children's rooms.

The download is a 7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured for easy insertion into interior scenes. Users can scale the model to match specific project requirements without losing the integrity of the leather mapping. It is recommended to place the ottoman on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity effectively. When setting up lighting, ensure the material reflections are captured by adjusting the specular settings in the render engine, as the leather texture responds well to soft, ambient light sources typical of domestic environments.

This animal-themed seat is ideal for residential projects, particularly within nursery designs, playrooms, or relaxed living areas where a whimsical touch is required. It pairs effectively with low-profile lounge furniture and soft textiles, such as wool rugs or linen curtains. Professionals often search for this asset when looking for unique accent seating, kid-friendly furniture, or character-driven decor pieces. It serves as an excellent focal point in casual, modern interiors, adding warmth and personality to a room without overwhelming the surrounding design scheme.
