About this asset

These contemporary double-layer curtains for SketchUp feature a dense brown fabric outer drape paired with a lightweight white sheer. This window treatment set comprises two distinct curtain assemblies, each featuring a dual-layer configuration. The primary outer layer is rendered in a solid, opaque brown fabric, gathered elegantly at the side with a matching tie-back to reveal the inner layer. Behind this sits a translucent, off-white sheer curtain that provides soft light diffusion. The top of the assembly is finished with a clean, straight header detail. The folds and drapes are modelled with naturalistic vertical pleats, capturing the weight and texture of the fabric across both layers of the composition.

The download is a 24.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating these curtains into a SketchUp model, use the component move and scale tools to align the header with existing curtain tracks or pelmets. The model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy adjustment of the tie-back position or the overall width of the drapes. Apply custom fabric textures or adjust the transparency of the sheer layer within the material editor to control light transmission levels for your final render or viewport presentation.

These curtains are suitable for residential interior projects, particularly in living rooms and bedrooms where a layered window treatment is required for privacy and light control. They pair effectively with contemporary furniture sets and neutral interior palettes. Professionals often search for these assets when detailing high-end apartment renders, hotel suite interiors, or master bedroom designs. They provide a quick way to add depth and softness to architectural scenes without the need for complex custom modelling of fabric folds and drapery dynamics.
