About this asset

This bohemian-style hanging swing chair for 3ds Max features a rustic wooden seat suspended by white rope with a patterned cushion. This hanging swing chair features a seat constructed from weathered, reclaimed-style timber planks, providing a rustic foundation. The structure is suspended by thick, white braided ropes that loop around a smooth, light-toned horizontal wooden support beam, creating an organic aesthetic. A plush, square seat cushion sits atop the wooden base, featuring a vibrant, geometric multicoloured print that contrasts with the neutral tones of the wood and rope. The design balances raw, natural materials with a relaxed, artistic flair, making it a distinct focal point for comfortable, informal seating areas.

The download is a 14.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max scenes, ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the top of the suspension ropes for accurate rotation and placement. The model uses distinct material IDs for the wood, rope, and cushion, allowing for easy texture adjustments or custom fabric mapping. Users should check the rope geometry for proper subdivision if scaling the object for close-up renders, and apply an HDRI environment map to achieve natural lighting reflections on the rope and wood surfaces.

Ideal for residential interior design, this swing chair suits sunrooms, casual living spaces, or bedrooms requiring a relaxed, bohemian aesthetic. In hospitality projects, it serves as a playful addition to boutique hotel balconies, cafes, or outdoor lounge areas. Professionals looking for a unique accent piece will find this model effective when paired with indoor plants, woven rugs, or light-filled, airy environments. Search for it when sourcing accent seating, hanging furniture, or decorative elements that introduce a tactile, informal character to a space.
