About this asset

This bohemian-style natural rattan rocking chair is a SketchUp model featuring a lattice backrest and two decorative throw cushions. Constructed from bent rattan, this rocking chair features a tall, arched backrest with a distinct diamond-lattice weave pattern. The frame is finished in a warm, natural wood tone, highlighting the organic texture of the material. The seating area is equipped with two square cushions: one in a solid white fabric with button detailing, and another in a patterned dark green textile. The curved rockers provide a classic profile, while the open-work structure keeps the piece feeling lightweight and airy, suitable for both indoor sunrooms and relaxed living areas.

The download is a 5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy selection of the cushions if they need to be removed or replaced. Users should check the component axes upon insertion to ensure the rocker base is correctly aligned with the floor plane. Applying custom materials to the fabric parts is straightforward, as the geometry is clean and UV-mapped for standard texture projection. For final visualisations, ensure the model's scale is verified against room dimensions to maintain authentic proportions.

This piece is ideal for creating cosy reading nooks in residential bedrooms or living rooms. It pairs well with neutral palettes, indoor plants, and natural textures, fitting seamlessly into bohemian, scandinavian, or tropical interior design schemes. Professionals often use this asset to add character to nursery designs, covered terrace scenes, or casual boutique hotel lobbies. When searching for this type of furniture, designers typically look for terms like rattan accent chair, boho lounge seating, or indoor rocking chair for interior renders.
