About this asset

This Bohemian natural rattan hourglass stool is a detailed SketchUp model featuring an intricate woven base and a circular seat. This stool features a distinct hourglass silhouette, constructed entirely from natural rattan. The base is formed by a fine, lattice-style weave that provides structural integrity while maintaining a lightweight, airy aesthetic. A solid, circular rattan top provides a stable seating surface, finished with a smooth, continuous rim. The proportions are balanced, making it suitable for use as a secondary seat or a small side table. The warm, organic tones of the material are consistent throughout, highlighting the craftsmanship of the woven pattern and the natural texture of the reed.

The download is a 5.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model functions as a single component. Users should verify the scale upon insertion to ensure it aligns with standard seating heights. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement in interior scenes. Materials are applied to the woven surfaces, which can be adjusted or replaced using the native material editor. Given the intricate nature of the lattice, ensure that the model is placed on a dedicated layer to manage viewport performance effectively when building larger room sets or interior compositions.
