About this asset

This 3ds Max armchair features a woven natural rattan frame and a soft beige seat cushion, complemented by a grey scatter cushion. This armchair showcases a distinct bohemian aesthetic with its circular, open-lattice frame constructed from bent natural rattan. The piece includes a thick, neutral-toned seat cushion that provides comfort, paired with a square scatter cushion in a textured grey fabric. The structure is supported by four splayed rattan legs that maintain a lightweight, airy profile. The contrast between the warm, organic tones of the rattan and the cool grey of the upholstery creates a balanced, approachable look suitable for various interior settings that require a relaxed, tactile element.

The download is a 47.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, ensure the model is scaled correctly relative to your scene units before placement. The rattan texture is mapped to follow the curvature of the frame, so check that UVW maps remain intact when adjusting the scale. The seat and scatter cushions are separate elements, allowing for easy material adjustment or replacement to match specific project colour palettes. Use a standard light setup to highlight the intricate woven details of the rattan frame without washing out the fabric textures.

This piece works well as an accent chair in living rooms, sunrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies, particularly in designs focusing on natural materials and relaxed aesthetics. It pairs effectively with wooden side tables or soft, organic rugs to reinforce a bohemian or tropical theme. Designers often search for this type of asset when sourcing furniture for residential projects, hospitality interiors, or staged spaces that require a comfortable, visually interesting seating option that does not overwhelm the room's overall spatial composition.
