About this asset

This bohemian-style textile wall hanging for SketchUp features a multi-textured rope weave suspended from a natural timber dowel. This decorative wall hanging is constructed from a variety of rope and cord weights, creating a tactile, layered composition. The design features a horizontal wooden rod at the top, from which the woven textile is suspended. The pattern incorporates thick braided sections, intricate macramé knots, and loose fringe at the base. Colour blocking is achieved through a palette of cream white, soft blue, and earthy brown tones, providing a naturalistic and artisanal aesthetic. The overall form is rectangular, offering a balanced vertical element suitable for adding texture to plain wall surfaces.

The download is a 23.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed as a standalone group or component. Users should place the object on a vertical plane, ensuring the rear face of the wooden dowel aligns with the wall finish. The model is scaled for standard residential wall heights; however, it can be adjusted to suit custom spatial requirements. Materials are applied as standard textures and can be modified within the paint bucket tool to better match specific interior colour schemes or lighting environments.

Ideal for residential interiors, this piece adds warmth to bedrooms, living rooms, and nursery spaces. It is particularly effective in casual, bohemian, or wabi-sabi design concepts where natural materials and handcrafted aesthetics are prioritised. Professionals might search for this as a wall tapestry, macramé art, or decorative textile to break up large, empty wall planes. It pairs well with neutral palettes, indoor plants, and timber furniture, effectively softening the transition between structural elements in a room and adding a layer of visual interest.
