About this asset

This bohemian papasan lounge chair is a detailed 3ds Max model featuring a tufted leather cushion supported by a natural rattan base. Defined by its iconic circular frame, this papasan chair features a deep, tufted seat cushion upholstered in a rich brown leather with a subtle, distressed texture. The bowl-shaped structure is cradled by a sturdy, open-weave rattan base, which provides a lightweight yet durable silhouette. The contrast between the soft, padded leather and the organic, natural aesthetic of the woven rattan creates a relaxed, inviting appearance. This piece is designed for comfort, offering a wide, cradling seat that is characteristic of traditional papasan styles, making it a versatile accent for various casual interior settings.

The download is a 48.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users should ensure the pivot point is centered at the base for easy placement on floor planes. The leather cushion and rattan base are assigned distinct material IDs, allowing for quick adjustments to texture maps or shader parameters. Proper scaling should be verified against standard seat heights to ensure consistency with other furniture elements in the scene, while high-resolution textures ensure clarity in close-up architectural visualisations and interior renders.

Ideal for residential living rooms, sunrooms, or boutique hotel lounge areas, this chair adds a relaxed, bohemian texture to any space. It works well as a standalone reading chair or paired with side tables in casual seating arrangements. Designers often search for this item when looking for comfortable, organic-style accent furniture for eclectic or transitional interiors. Its distinct profile complements natural materials like wood and stone, providing a soft, tactile element that enhances the overall comfort and visual warmth of a project.
