Black Wood and Gold Metal Rococo Console Table

This ornate 3ds Max console table features a matte black wood top supported by a complex, gold-accented frame in a classic rococo style. Defined by its elaborate silhouette, this console table showcases a serpentine-edged wooden top finished in a deep, matte black. The base is an intricate display of sculptural metalwork, featuring sweeping cabriole legs interconnected by a decorative stretcher rail. The frame is heavily embellished with gilded floral and acanthus leaf motifs that contrast sharply against the dark structure. The proportions are slender and elegant, designed to serve as a focal point in a hallway or formal living area. Every curve of the base reflects traditional craftsmanship, providing a sophisticated look for period-inspired or eclectic interior schemes.

The download is a 16.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset, import the 3ds Max file directly into your scene using the merge command. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy placement against walls. The materials are separated by object, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain or metallic reflectivity. Use a standard physical camera setup to capture the fine detailing of the gilded ornaments, and apply a subtle light map to highlight the contrast between the black timber surfaces and the metallic decorative elements.

Ideal for high-end residential entryways, formal dining rooms, or luxury hotel lobbies, this console table adds a touch of historical grandeur to any space. It works well when paired with a large ornate mirror or a pair of wall sconces to create a balanced, symmetrical composition. Designers often search for this type of piece when seeking to furnish transitional spaces that require a statement item with traditional decorative flair, fitting seamlessly into projects that lean towards maximalist or refined classic aesthetics.
