Black Metal Tripod Floor Lamp with Fabric Diffuser

This industrial-style 3ds Max floor lamp features a slim black metal tripod base supporting a large circular fabric light diffuser. The lamp draws inspiration from vintage photography equipment, featuring a distinct three-legged tripod stand constructed from slender black metal tubing. The legs are connected by a central hub, providing stability for the prominent circular head. The light source is housed within a large, shallow, bowl-shaped diffuser covered in a cream-coloured fabric, which serves to soften the light output. The contrast between the rigid, dark metal frame and the soft, expansive fabric surface creates a balanced aesthetic suitable for interiors requiring a bold, functional design element as a focal point.

The download is a 20.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, ensure the model is scaled correctly relative to your scene units before placement. The object consists of distinct parts, allowing for easy selection of the tripod base or the diffuser head for material adjustments. Apply custom light materials or self-illumination maps to the interior of the diffuser to achieve the desired glow. Use standard object alignment tools to position the lamp accurately on the floor plane, and consider grouping the components to simplify navigation within complex architectural scenes.

This floor lamp is an ideal choice for adding character to residential living rooms, creative home offices, or boutique retail environments that embrace an industrial or loft-style aesthetic. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture or vintage-inspired decor, acting as a functional piece of art rather than just a light source. Designers often look for such studio-style lighting to introduce vertical interest in corners or near seating areas, where it can provide both ambient illumination and a strong visual anchor for the space.
