About this asset

Double layer fabric curtains in black and white for SketchUp, featuring vertical pleats and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. These floor-to-ceiling curtains feature a dual-layer configuration, combining a central section of light white fabric with outer panels of dark black fabric. The design incorporates uniform vertical pleats that create consistent folds and shadows along the length of the material. The drape is structured to appear as a single cohesive unit, providing a balanced contrast between the light and dark textile elements. The geometry is clean and simplified, focusing on the rhythmic pattern of the folds to provide a realistic sense of volume and movement in a 3D environment.

The download is a 29.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component, allowing for easy placement in front of window openings or wall segments. Users can apply custom materials or textures to the fabric surfaces to adjust the transparency or pattern. Scaling should be performed along the horizontal axis to fit the width of specific window frames, while maintaining the vertical aspect ratio to ensure the pleats remain undistorted. The model is lightweight, suitable for inclusion in larger interior scenes without significantly impacting viewport performance.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and high-end hotel suites where a monochromatic, modern look is desired. They pair well with minimalist interior schemes and can be used in architectural visualisations to add texture and softness to a space. Professionals often search for these as window treatments, drapes, or textile panels to complete interior design renders. They are effective for staging windows in both daytime and evening lighting scenarios, providing a neutral backdrop that complements various furniture styles.
