About this asset

This contemporary rectangular rug for 3ds Max features a subtle geometric pattern in a neutral beige tone, ideal for layered interiors. This floor covering features a clean, rectangular silhouette defined by a repetitive geometric motif. The design consists of alternating squares and circular forms connected by linear elements, creating a balanced and structured visual rhythm. Rendered in a monochromatic beige palette, the surface texture suggests a soft, dense pile fabric that catches light to accentuate the subtle depth of the pattern. Its low-profile construction makes it a versatile choice for grounding furniture arrangements without overwhelming the surrounding decor, offering a cohesive and sophisticated foundation for modern living spaces or professional interior environments.

The download is an 11.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a flat plane object with complex displacement or bump maps applied to simulate the pile height and pattern depth. Users should ensure the UVW mapping is set to box or planar to match the scale of the room. It is best placed directly on the floor geometry, slightly offset to prevent clipping, and assigned a material that supports high-quality fabric shaders to capture the soft light interaction on the rug surface.

This rug works well in residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and high-end hotel suites where a neutral, textured floor finish is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture, mid-century modern seating, or contemporary lounge sets. Professionals searching for floor decor, textile assets, or area rugs will find this model useful for completing interior visualisations. It provides a tactile element that softens hard floor surfaces like polished concrete, timber, or tile, adding warmth and acoustic comfort to a digital space.
