About this asset

This contemporary double bed for 3ds Max features a distinct arched upholstered headboard and a low-profile fabric-covered frame. This contemporary double bed is defined by its prominent, semi-circular arched headboard, which provides a soft, sculptural focal point. The entire structure, including the headboard and the low-profile base, is fully upholstered in a neutral beige fabric, creating a monolithic and tactile appearance. The design sits on discreet, low-profile feet that lift the frame slightly off the floor. The bed is presented with a layered bedding arrangement, featuring a dark brown throw and a selection of decorative cushions, which contrasts with the light, textured finish of the upholstery.

The download is a 89.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, ensure the model is merged into your master scene at the correct scale. The fabric textures are mapped to the geometry, allowing for easy adjustment of UVW coordinates if custom tiling is required. The bed is organised into logical layers, separating the frame from the bedding accessories, which facilitates efficient scene management. Use standard physical camera setups to capture the soft, rounded geometry of the headboard effectively, ensuring that global illumination settings are balanced to highlight the fabric's subtle texture.

This bed is suitable for residential master bedrooms or high-end hotel suites where a soft, contemporary aesthetic is required. Its neutral colour palette allows it to integrate seamlessly into minimalist, japandi, or modern interior design schemes. Designers often pair this piece with matching bedside tables, as shown, or minimalist wall-mounted lighting to emphasise the arched silhouette.
