About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp curtain model features a pleated beige fabric panel paired with a lightweight white sheer layer for realistic interiors. This window treatment asset consists of a dual-layered curtain system designed with natural vertical folds. The primary outer panel is rendered in a neutral beige textile, offering a dense, opaque appearance with consistent pleating along the header. Behind this sits a secondary, lighter-weight white sheer layer, which provides a subtle contrast in texture and opacity. The geometry captures the organic drape of fabric, with gentle waves and soft shadows throughout the length of the panels. This assembly is presented as a single unit, ready for placement against window frames or interior wall partitions.

The download is a 6.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this component into a SketchUp scene, import the file as a group or component and align it with the desired window opening. Use the scale tool to adjust the height to match floor-to-ceiling requirements while maintaining the aspect ratio of the pleats. Because the geometry includes two distinct layers, ensure the faces are oriented correctly to avoid flickering in render outputs. The model uses standard material mapping, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric colour or transparency settings.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, bedrooms, and hotel suites where a layered window treatment is required to manage light and privacy. They pair effectively with modern interior styles and clean architectural detailing. Architects and interior designers might search for this asset when detailing window elevations or creating high-quality visualisations for residential developments. It is particularly useful for achieving a soft, lived-in aesthetic in architectural scenes, complementing minimalist furniture and neutral colour palettes in both daytime and evening lighting configurations.
