About this asset

Beige fabric curtains with a decorative pelmet, provided as a 3ds Max model featuring elegant swags and sheer under-layers. This window treatment assembly features a formal, classic arrangement consisting of heavy beige outer drapes and translucent white sheer curtains. The top is finished with a structured, shaped pelmet that incorporates intricate embroidery detailing at its centre. The outer curtains are gathered with side ties, creating soft, cascading folds that frame the sheer layer behind. The entire set is designed to provide a sense of traditional luxury, with balanced proportions and realistic draping that suggests a substantial fabric weight suitable for formal living or dining room environments.

The download is a 16.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can import this 3ds Max asset directly into a scene, positioning it against window openings. Because the geometry is pre-configured with complex folds and swags, scaling should be handled with care to maintain the integrity of the fabric folds. The material slots allow for easy adjustment of fabric opacity and texture maps, enabling the user to fine-tune the light transmission of the sheer layer while maintaining the opaque appearance of the primary drapes within the viewport or final render.

These curtains are suitable for high-end residential projects, luxury hotel suites, or formal reception areas where a traditional aesthetic is required. They serve as an ideal finishing touch for classic or neoclassical interior schemes, pairing well with ornate furniture and traditional wall mouldings. Designers looking for window dressing options for living rooms or bedrooms will find this asset useful for creating a sense of completion and depth in architectural visualisations, particularly when aiming for a sophisticated, layered interior look.
