Modern Japanese Zen Garden Scene with Moon Gate

This modern Japanese Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features a striking moon gate, textured stone elements, and curated planting. The scene presents a balanced composition focused on a central circular moon gate set against a vertical slatted timber wall. The flooring consists of light-coloured river stones, providing a clean, textured base. Flanking the gate are weathered, moss-covered decorative stones and a mature, windswept pine tree. A small, minimalist figurine stands atop a rock, while two tapered, slatted timber lanterns provide warm ambient lighting. To the right, a grid-patterned concrete breeze block screen adds architectural depth. The overall palette is composed of muted, earthy tones, creating a tranquil atmosphere suitable for high-end exterior visualisations.

The download is a 204 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene is fully assembled for immediate integration into larger architectural projects. Users can easily adjust the lighting intensity of the lanterns or reposition the vegetation assets to suit specific camera angles. The materials are pre-assigned, allowing for quick render setups. Because the model is provided as a complete scene, it serves as an excellent base for high-quality exterior walkthroughs or static shots, requiring minimal additional modelling to achieve a professional, polished finish in standard render engines.
