Minimalist Zen Garden Scene with Bonsai and Water Feature

This minimalist Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features a sculpted bonsai, a dark stone water wall, and a reflective pool. Composed as a serene outdoor sanctuary, this scene centers on a gnarled, mature bonsai tree set within a shallow, reflective water feature. A dramatic, dark-toned linear stone wall serves as the primary backdrop, punctuated by a circular void that offers depth and visual interest. Surrounding the water are naturally shaped river rocks and delicate bamboo stalks, which filter the warm, ambient light to create soft shadows. The composition relies on a restrained palette of monochromatic stone textures contrasted against vibrant greenery, capturing the essence of traditional Japanese landscape design in a clean, contemporary architectural setting.

The download is a 25.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Materials are pre-assigned and optimized for standard rendering pipelines, ensuring that textures like the wet stone and water surface react naturally to environment lighting. The scene is organized into logical layers to facilitate efficient management of complex vegetation and hardscape geometry.
