About this asset

This Japanese-style Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features stone statues, potted plants, and a glowing lantern at night. Composed as a curated outdoor vignette, this scene centres on a gnarled, sculptural wooden post supporting a traditional slatted lantern. The foreground is carpeted in mossy terrain, populated by a collection of potted palms, bamboo, and a flowering branch in a dark ceramic vessel. Two weathered stone guardian statues stand atop matching rectangular plinths, providing a focal point that anchors the design. The background is framed by a dramatic, silhouetted mountain range under a moonlit sky, creating a moody, contemplative atmosphere typical of high-end landscape visualisation projects.

The download is a 46.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

As a pre-composed 3ds Max scene, this asset is intended for immediate use in architectural visualisations requiring atmospheric night-time lighting. Users should treat this as a reference point for scale and material layering, adjusting the existing light sources to match their specific project requirements. Because the geometry and textures are fully integrated, the file is best utilised by merging it into larger landscape masterplans, ensuring that proxy settings and texture paths are re-linked correctly within the asset tracker.

Ideal for luxury hospitality projects, boutique hotel courtyards, or high-end residential garden renderings, this scene adds immediate depth and cultural context. Professionals can incorporate these elements into master-planning presentations or exterior design competitions where a serene, nature-focused aesthetic is required. It pairs well with modern minimalist architecture, providing a soft, organic contrast to clean lines and concrete surfaces.
