About this asset

This 3ds Max zen garden landscape scene features detailed natural rock formations, a gnarled bonsai tree, and a water reflection pool. Composed as a traditional indoor zen garden, this scene centers on a jagged rockery arrangement set within a shallow, dark-bottomed water basin. The composition includes a prominent, weathered bonsai tree with exposed root systems that weave through the stone cluster. The surrounding environment is framed by textured, distressed concrete walls and a large, integrated backdrop mural depicting misty mountain peaks and a sunset. The contrast between the organic, moss-toned rock textures and the clean, architectural lines of the water basin creates a balanced, meditative aesthetic suitable for high-end interior focal points.

The download is a 95.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Professionals can integrate this 3ds Max scene directly into larger interior projects by linking the file or merging the geometry into an existing model. The assets are organised to allow for adjustment of the lighting environment, particularly to enhance the reflective properties of the water surface. Users should ensure the scale is verified against the project floor plan, as the scene is designed as a fixed, immersive installation. Material channels are pre-configured for standard render workflows, facilitating quick integration into architectural visualizations.

This landscape installation is ideal for luxury residential entryways, hotel lobbies, and spa reception areas where a calming, contemplative atmosphere is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist architecture, contemporary stone flooring, and muted material palettes. Architects and visualisers often search for this type of asset when developing high-end oriental or wabi-sabi inspired interiors. It serves as a sophisticated focal point in design proposals, helping to bridge the gap between indoor living spaces and natural, tranquil environments in modern building projects.
