About this asset

This rustic linear fireplace set for SketchUp features two reclaimed timber beam hearths with integrated bioethanol fire inserts. This pair of linear fireplaces is constructed from heavy, reclaimed timber beams, showcasing deep fissures, weathered textures, and a raw, natural finish. Each unit functions as a low-profile hearth, topped with a narrow, recessed channel filled with white decorative pebbles that cradle the flames. The design emphasises a contrast between the organic, rugged character of the distressed wood and the clean, modern aesthetic of the fire elements. These pieces are presented as a set, providing a symmetrical focal point suitable for expansive living areas or open-plan interior layouts.

The download is a 48.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these models are best managed as components to facilitate easy placement and alignment within your floor plan. The textures are mapped to the timber surfaces, allowing for further customisation of the grain scale if required. When rendering, ensure the fire elements are assigned an emissive material property to achieve realistic light distribution. Using layers or tags will help you toggle the fire effects on or off, depending on whether you are producing daytime or evening-focused visualisations.

These fireplace units are ideal for high-end residential projects, such as luxury living rooms or master suites, where a warm, organic aesthetic is desired. They also function well in hospitality environments, including hotel lobbies or boutique restaurants, to create a sense of hearth and home. The pieces pair effectively with minimalist interiors to provide a grounding, tactile element.
