About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of four modern sculptural lighting columns, finished in matte white plaster with integrated LED accents. This set consists of four distinct sculptural columns, each serving as a structural element with integrated ambient lighting. The forms range from smooth, organic flared capitals to layered, disk-based geometries that create rhythmic shadow lines. The surfaces appear to be a matte white plaster, providing a clean, monolithic aesthetic. Each column incorporates internal light sources, allowing for soft, diffused illumination that emanates from behind perforated panels or between stacked rings. These pieces are designed to function as focal points in open-plan spaces, blurring the line between building structure and decorative lighting installation.

The download is a 61.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly against a standard floor-to-ceiling height before placement. The lighting elements are typically grouped, allowing for easy assignment of emissive materials to the internal faces. For high-quality visualisations, apply textures with subtle bump maps to capture the plaster finish, and use point or area lights placed within the column cores to achieve the soft, atmospheric glow seen in the preview.

These sculptural columns are ideal for large-scale interior projects such as hotel lobbies, corporate reception areas, or high-end residential living spaces. They act as grounding elements in vast, open-plan floor plates, adding visual interest while providing functional ambient light. Professionals often search for these as feature columns, statement lighting, or architectural lighting installations. They pair effectively with minimalist furniture and neutral material palettes, helping to define zones without the need for solid partition walls, making them a versatile choice for contemporary interior architectural design.
