About this asset

This modern black metal casement window SketchUp model features a clean, minimalist frame design suitable for contemporary facade detailing. This set includes two window configurations: one closed and one open. The units are constructed with a slim-profile black metal frame, providing a sharp, industrial aesthetic. The glazing is clear with a subtle grid pattern visible on the closed unit, suggesting a multi-pane layout or muntin detailing. The open unit reveals the internal hinge mechanism and frame depth, indicating a side-hung casement operation. The proportions are vertical, making them suitable for standard residential or light commercial apertures where a high-contrast, structural look is required for the exterior or interior envelope.

The download is a 5.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these windows function as components that can be easily scaled or adjusted to fit specific wall thicknesses. Users should ensure the window assembly is placed on a dedicated tag layer to manage visibility during the design process. The material properties of the glass and frame can be edited directly within the materials tray, allowing for adjustments to transparency or metallic finishes to match specific project render requirements or lighting conditions.

These windows are ideal for contemporary residential projects, loft renovations, and modern office developments where minimalist glazing solutions are specified. They pair effectively with brick, concrete, or render facades. Professionals searching for clean-lined, operable fenestration will find these useful for architectural visualization at both the schematic and design development stages. They integrate well into scenes requiring high-contrast black framing elements to define building elevations or interior light wells.
