About this asset

Modern black and white metal spiral stair SketchUp model featuring a central column support and integrated glass balustrades. This contemporary spiral staircase features a clean, minimalist aesthetic defined by its high-contrast palette. The structure is composed of a central metal support column with white treads and a sleek black outer stringer. A curved glass balustrade follows the helical path, providing safety without obstructing the visual flow of the space. The design is compact and sculptural, suitable for connecting two levels in an open-plan interior. Its proportions are balanced for residential or boutique commercial applications, offering a clear, geometric silhouette that complements modern architectural styles and light-filled, minimalist environments.

The download is a 44.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this stair into your SketchUp project, import the component and align the base with your finished floor level. Given the helical geometry, ensure the component origin is correctly placed at the center of the stairwell opening. You may need to adjust the height by scaling the vertical axis, though checking tread riser consistency is recommended for accuracy. Apply your own materials to the treads or stringers if the default textures require refinement for your specific render engine or lighting setup.

This staircase is ideal for high-end residential lofts, duplex apartments, or modern office reception areas where floor space is at a premium. It pairs well with minimalist interiors, light timber flooring, and monochromatic colour schemes. Architects and interior designers often search for helical stair solutions to create a focal point in double-height spaces or atrium areas. It works effectively in projects focusing on open-concept circulation, modern minimalism, or industrial-inspired design, providing a functional yet visually lightweight vertical transition between interior levels.
