Industrial Exposed Grid Ceiling with Linear LED Lighting

Industrial exposed grid ceiling assembly for SketchUp, featuring a modular metal framework with integrated linear LED lighting. This technical ceiling assembly features an exposed structural grid finished in a dark, matte tone. The system incorporates a series of rectangular, glowing linear LED panels arranged in a rhythmic, parallel formation. Beneath the primary lighting, a secondary layer of metal mesh or wire-grid panels adds texture and industrial depth. The construction is detailed with exposed pipework and conduit runs, characteristic of raw, warehouse-style architecture. The overall geometry is highly modular, suggesting a clean, repetitive layout suitable for large-scale interior spaces that require a functional, high-contrast ceiling solution.

The download is a 1.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is best utilized as a modular component. Users should place the assembly within a ceiling group, ensuring the component axes align with the primary room grid for seamless integration. The linear LED elements are grouped separately, allowing for easy adjustment of emissive material properties or light intensity settings. Since the model relies on repetitive geometry, ensure the component instances are correctly nested to keep the file size manageable during complex interior rendering tasks.

This ceiling system is ideal for industrial-style retail showrooms, modern office environments, and creative studio spaces where an exposed mechanical look is desired. It pairs effectively with polished concrete floors, brickwork, and minimalist furniture. Architects and designers can specify this for projects requiring a high-tech aesthetic or a raw, unfinished appearance in hospitality and commercial interiors. Search for this asset when planning open-plan offices, loft-style apartments, or urban cafes that need a bold, structured overhead feature.
