About this asset

This industrial ceiling system for SketchUp features an exposed black metal grid integrated with multiple pendant light fixtures. This exposed ceiling assembly comprises a complex network of black-finished steel beams, conduits, and rods, creating a raw, industrial aesthetic. The structure is composed of primary and secondary support members arranged in a rectangular grid pattern, suspended from the ceiling plane. Integrated throughout the framework are numerous small pendant lights, which provide functional illumination while enhancing the technical, utilitarian visual style. The composition is highly detailed, showcasing a layered arrangement of pipes and structural elements that mimic a functional building service installation, suitable for high-end commercial or creative workspace interiors.

The download is a 1.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is structured for easy integration into interior scenes. Users can import the model as a group or component and align it with the structural ceiling height of their project. Material mapping is straightforward, as the black metal finish is applied to all structural elements. For rendering, ensure the pendant light components are assigned emissive materials or light sources to accurately simulate the intended illumination effect on the floor and walls below.

Ideal for projects requiring an edgy, industrial interior, this ceiling grid serves as a focal point in open-plan offices, loft-style apartments, retail showrooms, and modern bar or restaurant designs. It pairs effectively with exposed brick walls, polished concrete flooring, and minimalist furniture. Architects and interior designers searching for 'exposed ceiling systems', 'industrial lighting grids', or 'technical ceiling details' will find this asset useful for establishing a raw, structural atmosphere in their visualisations during the concept and design development stages.
