About this asset

This dark green metal vertical privacy fence SketchUp model provides a clean, modular boundary solution for exterior site plans. Constructed from powder-coated metal, this privacy fence features a rigid, vertical-bar configuration that balances security with visual transparency. The design consists of a structural square-profile post and a rectangular panel section, defined by slim, closely spaced vertical slats reinforced by horizontal rails. The dark green finish provides a neutral, utilitarian aesthetic suitable for various site contexts. The geometry is clean and linear, focusing on a repetitive, rhythmic pattern that effectively creates a defined boundary without appearing overly heavy or imposing in a 3D landscape context.

The download is a 171 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by utilising the native component browser for easy replication along a site perimeter. Users can scale the panel width or height to fit specific site boundaries, though maintaining the aspect ratio of the vertical bars is recommended to avoid distortion. Applying custom materials to the existing surfaces allows for quick colour adjustments, while placing the model on a dedicated 'fencing' layer ensures efficient scene management and toggling during the design development phase.

This model is ideal for residential, commercial, or industrial site plans where a secure yet unobtrusive perimeter is required. It pairs well with contemporary landscape designs, garden layouts, and gated entryways. Professionals often use this asset in early-stage site massing, detailed landscape modelling, or as a background element in architectural visualisations.
