Contemporary Wood and Marble Staircase with Zen Garden Scene

This contemporary staircase SketchUp scene features a wooden tread design with a marble-clad stringer and integrated Zen garden. The staircase assembly features thick, natural-toned timber treads providing a warm contrast to the cool-toned grey marble stringer that runs alongside the glass balustrade. Beneath the stair flight, a carefully curated interior landscape is integrated, comprising a Japanese maple, weathered boulders, moss-covered stones, and white gravel bedding. A linear, stick-like pendant light installation hangs vertically above the garden, adding a delicate, structural accent. The backdrop includes vertical timber-effect wall cladding, creating a cohesive, high-end atmosphere that balances natural textures with clean, modern architectural lines for a sophisticated interior transition.

The download is a 37.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this scene is structured as a collection of grouped components, allowing for easy isolation of the staircase assembly from the garden elements. Users should utilise the Layers or Tags panel to manage visibility between the structural elements and the decorative vegetation. Materials are applied using standard SketchUp texture mapping; check the face orientation upon import to ensure proper rendering. For visualisations, apply high-quality reflection settings to the glass and marble surfaces to achieve the intended materiality.
