About this asset

This contemporary floating staircase in light oak, designed for SketchUp, features integrated LED lighting for a clean aesthetic. This architectural element features a minimalist floating staircase constructed from light-toned oak timber. The design utilizes a cantilevered structure that eliminates visible risers, creating an open and airy visual effect. Each tread is fitted with integrated LED strip lighting along the underside of the nosing, providing subtle illumination for the path below. The staircase terminates on a wide, integrated landing platform that seamlessly transitions into the floor plane. The clean lines and natural wood finish emphasize a contemporary approach to residential circulation, pairing well with open-plan layouts and zen-inspired interior themes.

The download is a 47.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this staircase into a SketchUp project, import the component into your model and align the base landing with your floor level. The model is structured as a single component, allowing for easy placement and scaling to match specific floor-to-floor heights. Apply your preferred wood grain textures to the treads and adjust the LED light intensity within your rendering software by assigning an emissive material to the light strips located beneath each step.

This staircase is ideal for high-end residential projects, including luxury villas and modern townhouses, where a sense of lightness and architectural detail is required. It serves as a focal point in double-height entrance halls, lobby spaces, or open-plan living areas. Professionals often search for this type of asset when designing minimalist interiors, zen-style homes, or contemporary circulation paths. It pairs effectively with glass balustrades or open-riser configurations to maintain visual transparency throughout the building’s interior volume.
