Contemporary Grey Marble Straight Stair with Timber Handrail

This contemporary straight stair is a SketchUp model featuring grey marble treads and risers, complemented by a timber handrail. This straight staircase assembly is defined by its monolithic grey marble cladding, which covers both the treads and the risers, creating a seamless and heavy visual presence. The design incorporates a frameless glass balustrade anchored by a slender, warm-toned timber handrail, providing a refined contrast to the stone. The stair is configured as a single straight flight, integrated into a wider interior scene that includes a decorative plinth and surrounding screens. The assembly is structurally straightforward, focusing on high-end materiality and clean, linear geometry suitable for luxury residential or boutique hospitality environments.

The download is a 5.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it into a dedicated layer or tag for structural elements. Users should verify the stair's height against their model's floor-to-floor requirements, scaling as necessary while keeping the marble texture mapping consistent. The glass and timber components are grouped separately, allowing for individual material overrides or adjustments to opacity and grain orientation. Ensure the model origin is correctly aligned at the base to simplify snapping to floor planes and landing surfaces.
