Contemporary Grey and White Spiral Staircase with Central Column

This contemporary spiral staircase for SketchUp features a solid central column and sleek, curved plaster balustrades in grey. Designed with a clean, sculptural silhouette, this spiral staircase integrates a central metal support column with minimalist white steps. The balustrade is finished in a smooth, matte grey plaster, providing a continuous, fluid curve that follows the ascent. The construction emphasizes simplicity, avoiding unnecessary ornamentation to maintain a lightweight visual profile. The contrast between the stark white tread surfaces and the muted grey exterior creates a sophisticated look suitable for open-plan interiors. Each component is precisely modeled to ensure architectural accuracy, including the integration of the handrail detail along the upper edge of the balustrade.

The download is a 5.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed as a grouped object or a component instance to allow for easy repositioning within the model. Users should verify the floor-to-floor height and adjust the scale or the number of treads if necessary to match specific project requirements. Applying custom textures to the plaster and metal surfaces allows for seamless integration into existing render setups. Ensure the staircase is placed on a dedicated layer or tag to maintain control over visibility during the design process.
