Classical White Plaster Roman Column

This classical Roman column, provided as a SketchUp model, features a detailed Ionic capital and a fluted shaft finished in white plaster. This architectural column features a traditional classical design, characterized by a prominent Ionic capital with characteristic volutes and a slender, fluted shaft. The base is square and stepped, providing a stable visual anchor that transitions smoothly into the vertical fluting. Finished in a clean white plaster texture, the piece exhibits precise geometric detailing suitable for formal interior environments. The proportions are balanced, reflecting historical architectural orders, and the model is constructed as a single, cohesive component. It is designed to be used as a standalone decorative element or repeated to create colonnades in formal spaces.

The download is a 5.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this column into a SketchUp project, import the file as a component to ensure easy replication and management. Use the scaling tool to adjust the height to match specific floor-to-ceiling requirements, ensuring the proportions of the capital and base remain consistent. Apply custom materials to the existing plaster texture if a different finish, such as stone or marble, is required for the final render. Grouping the column allows for efficient placement along walls or as part of a formal interior structural arrangement.
