About this asset

A comprehensive set of 16 classic plaster ceiling roses and cornices for SketchUp, featuring intricate ornamental detailing. This collection comprises sixteen distinct decorative plaster elements designed for ceiling installation. The set includes a variety of circular and oval ceiling roses, ranging from minimalist stepped profiles to highly ornate floral and acanthus leaf motifs. Additionally, the library features square panel mouldings and corner pieces, providing a cohesive system for traditional ceiling finishing. Each piece is modeled with precise geometric relief, capturing the depth and shadow-casting qualities of authentic hand-cast plasterwork. The geometry is clean and consistent, allowing for seamless integration into historic restoration projects or luxury interior designs requiring period-accurate architectural detailing.

The download is a 120 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 16 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can snap the base of each rose to the ceiling face using the move tool. For complex ceiling patterns, leverage the component browser to swap styles quickly. Apply a simple white matte material to simulate the appearance of plaster, and use a soft area light or global illumination settings to highlight the intricate relief work during final rendering.

These decorative elements are essential for residential and boutique hospitality projects, particularly those involving period-style interiors or neoclassical renovations. They are frequently used in drawing rooms, grand entrance halls, and formal dining areas to add architectural character. Designers looking for authentic period details will find these assets useful when detailing ceiling plans, creating reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), or rendering sophisticated interior elevations. They pair effectively with traditional wall panelling, crown moulding, and ornate chandelier fixtures to complete a cohesive, high-end look.
