About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model set features brown aluminium louvred shutter windows in various configurations for exterior use. This set provides a collection of six window units, each featuring functional or fixed louvred shutter panels. The design is clean and utilitarian, finished in a matte brown tone consistent with powder-coated aluminium profiles. Each unit is presented in various states: fully closed, partially open, and fully open to reveal the frame depth. The louvres are horizontal and evenly spaced, providing a distinct texture across the panels. The assembly includes central handle hardware, adding a realistic touch to the overall geometric profile of the frames.

The download is a 2.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 6 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

These SketchUp components are designed for direct insertion into architectural models. Users can easily scale the units to match specific wall openings, though keeping the proportions consistent is recommended to maintain the integrity of the louvre spacing. The models are organised into groups, allowing for quick toggling between closed and open states for render compositions. Applying custom materials to the frames or adjusting the transparency of the opening is straightforward using the native materials editor.

These window units are ideal for residential and light commercial projects, particularly those requiring Mediterranean or tropical architectural detailing. They pair well with masonry, stucco, or concrete façades where external shuttering is a functional or aesthetic requirement. Professionals should search for these when specifying exterior envelope details, façade design, or visualising building elevations. They are well-suited for early stage design development or final presentation renderings where a precise, clean look is needed to convey building character and external material finishes.
