About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of contemporary black metal casement windows defined by a clean, multi-pane grid configuration. The assembly comprises two distinct double-casement window units, both featuring slim black metal frames. Each unit is divided into six glass panes by a symmetrical grid of thin muntins, providing a structured, modern aesthetic. The frames are finished in a dark, matte black, which contrasts sharply with the clear glazing. One unit includes integrated horizontal venetian blinds, while the other is shown with clear, unobstructed glass. The hardware, including the slim vertical handles, is finished in a metallic tone, adding a subtle functional detail to the minimalist design.

The download is a 19.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these window units are provided as distinct components, allowing for easy placement into wall openings. Users should ensure that the wall thickness is adjusted to accommodate the frame depth before insertion. The glazing and frame elements are grouped separately, facilitating the application of specific glass materials or frame colours via the material editor. Using tags for the blinds allows for toggling their visibility, which is useful for creating both open and closed interior views.

These window sets are suitable for residential and light commercial projects, particularly those requiring a modern or industrial-inspired fenestration design. They integrate well into living room, bedroom, or kitchen elevations, where a balance of natural light and privacy is needed. Architects and designers often use these units to establish a strong rhythmic facade or to provide a focal point in interior visualisations. They pair effectively with minimalist interior palettes and can be used in both new-build and renovation project stages.
